12 MADE-TO-ORDER Competition Grade Port Orford Cedar Wood Arrows. 11/32 Diameter
One dozen made-to-order 11/32 diameter arrows using Port Orford Cedar wood shafts. Arrows are weight matched and spine matched to within 10 grains weight and 3 pounds spine. The lightest arrow and the heaviest arrow in each dozen will have no more than a 10 grain weight difference. The industry standard for a wood arrow spine group includes six different spines. For example 40-45 is (40,41,42,43,44 and 45). For our Competition Grade arrows we reduce this to three spines or less for better consistency, for example 40-42 spine.
When selecting a spine group the following spine sub-categories apply:
Example spine 50-55:
50-55L(50-55Light) (50-52)
50-55ML(50-55Medium Light) (51-53)
50-55MH(50-55Medium Heavy) (52-54)
50-55H(50-55Heavy) (53-55)
This listing is for custom, made-to-order arrows. The approximate build time can be up to 6 weeks. For a current estimated build time please to contact us. If you would like arrows sooner feel free to browse our in stock listings.
My build process includes hand straightening each shaft before and during the painting process, matching components by weight and aligning nocks with the wood grain in order to maximize consistency. I use two tones of wood stain instead of crown dip, allowing the natural wood grain to show through. Multiple coats of clear gloss finish makes each color pop.
Not for Use With Compound Bows.
